Bloody steam trains always cause problem. They bloody set fire to shit track side. Melt through cables and generally fuck things up.
Eh they’ve had years to start looking for a coal substitute. That said given the size of the US and austrialian coal industry I’d be supprised if no one has anything suitable.
Not Ideal but a lot of the heritage railways also run diesels as well I would imagine if they need to they would run these more.
Could just stick a smoke machine in the chimney and get an old diesel to push round the back
