UK (GB), Ipsos MORI poll

  1. Its party popper time over on ukpol over this despite the fact Labour will either fall short by a lot or a little when it comes to beating the Tories to become the largest party under a hung parliament scenario. Even if an election were to happen tomorrow and the polls were correct I’d still bet the house on some form of Tory administration (with the Tories being the largest party) more than likely propped up by their former coalition partners.

  2. The UK however uses the first-past-the-post system and, with that, the parties’ share of votes is almost irrelevant. Is there any seat projection?

  3. Can’t see this being accurate from the mood of the people I talk to, didn’t the Conservatives win big in the council elections last year?

  4. What a trash poll.

This is for London only – the poll was for the Evening Standard which is a free London newspaper.

Saying this is for the UK is very misleading (no link was provided in the OP so going off the title).

It was also 1,007 people out of a city of ~8million so not even representative of London.

George Osbourne, ex cabinet minister, was the former editor of the Standard who left government when Boris got in (apparently they hated each other). The current editor is the sister of former PM David Cameron, who never liked Boris; the entire poll is trash and the Standard is little more than another agenda driven piece of rubbish, it’s basically a free version of The S*n which tells you everything.

**If it’s about the UK and in** r/europe **is 99.9% of the time just bollocks and should be ignored.**
