Does Obama have presidential immunity?

This current president is the one who brought the case to the Supreme Court and Chief Justice Roberts made clear in his opinion that a sitting president’s responsibilities in office uh cannot lead to prosecution immunity. So what is it the president uh President Trump wants uh regarding President Obama given that fact? and the special counsel at the time, Durham, when that Supreme Court uh matter was not in effect, could have charged anyone and did not. So, on those two points, how do you respond? Look, the president um has made it clear that he wanted these documents to be declassified. He wanted the American people to see the truth and now he wants those who perpetuated these lies in this scandal to be held accountable. As for what accountability looks like, as the director said, um it’s in the Department of Justice’s hands and and we trust them to move this ball forward. You would agree President Obama cannot be charged based on that immunity? Again, I’ll leave that to the Department of Justice.

  6. if it is found that he is 100% guilty of trying to use fabricated evidence to undermine an election he should be charged with something at least. Our government has an accountability problem with people on both sides of the political spectrum

  12. I think AG can test whether SCOTUS ruling as it states presidential duties he can’t be charged. They need to test if creating a false narrative about a political opponent as a pretext for spying on his campaign then after he won. The argument would be that’s not a presidential duty

  32. PEOPLE reviewed the flight logs and found Trump's name a total of seven times. He was mentioned on page 24 of the first flight log, dated Oct. 11, 1993. He was also mentioned twice on page 27, along with his then-wife Marla Maples, their daughter Tiffany Trump and a nanny on May 15, 1994. All three of those dates had "JE" (Jeff Epstein) listed on the same flights as Trump. GM, possibly Ghislane Maxwell, was listed as a passenger on the October 1993 flight.
