  1. They would never. Overreaching monotoring of the population is right in their wheelhouse.

  2. I’d rather be outed for liking the most depraved fetish porn than vote for those knuckle draggers.

  3. No they won’t.

Or they will just rename it and say they replaced it.

  4. In other news, weather vane vows to turn with the prevailing wind.

  5. Well yes it doesn’t even work as it is, people can still access adult content without providing ID, but now on even worse sites and even a google search will show masses of pornographic photos

It’s not to protect our children it’s to steal your face and monitor you, I imagine it was pushed by AI tool makers and data brokers paying off their friends in government so they could get rich

  6. Does this policy outweigh their others in my opinion? Nope. Do I believe that they actually would repeal this anyway? Nope.

  7. Meanwhile, most of their candidates are the self-same Tories who passed the act in 2023

  8. Whatever you think of them, this will at the very least embolden their supporters and possibly encourage more to vote for them

  9. See, this is what they do. I’ve had a look at a few of their manifestos, and they very reliably chuck in one or two good ideas, usually right next to something that’s outright insane.

  10. Remember 16 years old can vote now. This is gonna be a vote winner

  11. Congratulations, government

Owen Goal proving to be the top scorer once again.

  12. We hear that people don’t like what the current government is doing and we don’t like it as well….. what was it they did

  13. “People want this so we’re gonna claim to do it to get more favour even though we actually don’t care” is all I’m hearing.

  14. People don’t understand how important internet freedom is still it seems, they don’t grasp that even a likely false promise will get peopme voting differently even if there’s a slight chance to get an Internet that isn’t a diet Chiense/Russian internet

  15. No. Just no. Even if they would it’s really not worth putting them in power.

  16. Is that Farage on stage with somebody Brown??? 👀👀😱😳

  17. Suddenly I’m reminded of the time Farage, on GMTV the day after the Beexit results were announced, brushed off the £350 million a week to the NHS as “a mistake” and then moved swiftly on.

Whoever believes Reform will make good on this? There’s a riverside clock tower in the middle of London that I’d love to sell you.

  18. Yes because they think it targets social media companies too heavily. Not because they give a shit about your freedom of speech or ability to access porn.

  19. Of course… They always jump on bandwagons that mean easy win for them. It’s what the Nazis did.
