Calendar adjusted data (at constant prices) compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to June 2024, in June 2025 total retail trade turnover rose by 1.4 %.
Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 5.9 %, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel reduced by 0.7 %, while retail sale of food products declined by 3.6 %.
Compared to June 2024, the most notable turnover rise was recorded in retail sale of hardware, instruments, construction materials and sanitary equipment (of 11.7 %), retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (11.0 %) and retail sale of electrical household appliances in specialised stores (10.8 %). A turnover drop was registered in retail sale in stalls or markets (of 3.9 %) and retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (3.6 %).
Total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 1.5 % (not taking into account the calendar influence).
Compared to May, the total turnover of retail trade in June 2025 rose by 0.7 %, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) increased by 1.4 %, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – reduced by 0.1 %. Turnover of retail trade in food products fell by 0.1%.
As compared to the previous month, the most notable turnover growth was registered in retail trade in pharmaceutical and medical goods (of 3.8 %) and retail sale of hardware, instruments, construction materials and sanitary equipment (3.0 %).
Compared to May, in June 2025 the total retail trade turnover at current prices (not taking into account seasonality) increased by 0.8 %.
