  1. I don’t like the precedent this law sets and how easily it creates an opening for despots to crack down on freedom of information and speech.

We deride authoritarian states for this sort of thing but under the Labour Party our government has began to follow the path while deriding those who disagree with the act as pedophiles and deviants.

It must be fought against before it is too late, if we fail how long till every action we preform online is monitored? How long till for the sake of “safety” will access to the internet becomes restricted?

I implore our fellows on the continent to fight against the chat control proposal in the EU.

(Edit sorted out the president to be precedent

  2. 0.5% of the population isn’t going to force a change,in fact it’s showing a state that out of the uk population 0.5% are walkers 🤣🤣

  3. # Parliament dont care. They will just go oh yeah well double down time fuck you !

  4. Turns out this was what was needed to get wankers to cooperate.

  5. It’s a stupid law, they’re struggling so hard to actually enforce it that they are threatening to ban VPNs…

Which in many ways is more unenforceable. They could have canned the law and blamed the tories, as it was their idea, instead this is the one thing they are defending to the death for some reason..

  6. This law exists in Idaho, USA. I’m honestly shocked that the UK would have similar policies of such a backwards conservative state.

  7. We need to learn from these guys, they’re doing the same in Europe with all of these privacy invasion laws they are set to pass.

  8. It’s funny how I feel like nobody I/we know support these laws yet lawmakers seem to love them. What’s with the disconnect?

  9. its incredible seeing this happen in the UK, i really can’t believe it. I had such high hopes for Starmer and it’s just been a hemorrage of dissapointments so far

  10. This is so clear that its not about children its just about controlling media and labeling people. This is a reason to riot.

  11. This was by far the stupidest law Airstrip One came with in the past 10 decades, and they have quite a few competitors.

This doesn’t achieve anything other than humiliate them even more, which is good. Sometimes I thank god the Airstrip One left the EU because they’re literally more insane than our insane leaders.

Imagine all the extra insanity we would have to deal with if Airstrip One was still here with the Labour loonies.

  12. Well the good news (if there is any) is that labour are gonna have a hard time convincing everyone to vote for them in the next general election…
