RTVE the national broadcaster of Spain have confirmed their representative for JESC 2025. Later this year Gonzalo Pinillos will take to the stage in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 13.

Gonzalo Pinillos selected for Spain

During a press conference in Torrespaña in Madrid, RTVE confirmed Gonzalo Pinillos will represent the Iberian nation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision 2025 taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 13. Earlier this year, RTVE received 270 applications. More details on the entry Gonzalo will perform will be announced in the coming months.

Gonzalo is fourteen years old. The Madrid native has theatre stage experience and is an active player of many sports, including swimming, skiing, basketball and surfing. As well as this, Gonzalo is a keen chess player. Reaching the finals of a regional tournament in Madrid.

Spain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Back in 2003, Spain made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Despite a series of top five results, including victory for Maria Isabel in 2004, the nation took an extended break from the contest for 13 years. Since their return in 2019, Spain have continued where they left off. Throughout their ten participations, Spain have only finished outside the top 6 on one occasion.

Last year, Spain internally selected Chloe DelaRosa to represent the country with ‘Como la Lola’. During the Madrid contest, Chloe achieved sixth place with 144 points.
