  1. This might be the dumbest thing ive ever been a part of. They have the whole state sleeping in cars in the hills cause 1 parking lot has some ankle high water. GTFOH. Just admit u were wrong open the roads and let us go home.

  2. Use Cane Haul Road toward Hansen and Pulehu roads to get to Kula. Road above Makena Golf Course provides access to Ulupalakua. Also, Oprah’s ROAD is open to get Upcountry, according to Maui Police Department.

  3. Why is he talking so fast? Did anyone else see Steve all the sudden who kept talking about how he forgot to restart Facebook? I’m so confused.

  4. Everything is fine. 7:53:17 The director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said, "…we're past the worst part of it…"
They're just waiting to give the all-clear, when they feel the ocean has calmed down (<3ft amplitude, or 6ft crest to trough)

  5. Huge thanks and gratitude to your whole crew keeping us informed through Tsunami warning to advisory. My granddaughter is in Kauai right now and your reporting helped me through the worst. Excellent coverage.

  6. Life is fragile, none of us are promised tomorrow. It doesn’t matter how gifted, wealthy, or known we are—our soul is what matters most. “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his soul?” (Mark 8:36)

We’ve each been given free will to choose right from wrong, and our choices impact not only ourselves but others—for good or for harm. Every life matters, and we are deeply loved by our Heavenly Father. He cares for us from the womb to the tomb—body and spirit—but it’s the spirit that lives on forever.

One day, each of us will give an account of our lives: our thoughts, actions, words, and motives. Who can stand before a holy God? If you didn’t know, Jesus came to save us from our fallen, sinful nature. He came to restore our broken relationship with God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father but through Him. He is the only mediator between God and man, and only God can forgive sins.

What is sin? It’s knowing what’s right and not doing it. Sin includes things like sexual immorality, idolatry, addictions, drunkenness, lying, stealing, unforgiveness, hate, anger, gossip—and more. These separate us from a holy and just God. He sees not only our actions but our motives. All of us have fallen short.

Yet the call to salvation is for everyone—no matter your past, background, status, or orientation. Jesus invites you to turn from sin and receive the free gift of salvation. You can’t earn it through good works. Salvation is by grace alone. No amount of wealth, charity, or religion can make you right with God. Our best deeds are like filthy rags before a holy God. The Bible says the wages of sin is death—eternal separation from God in hell.

But God made a way. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins on the Cross so we could be restored to Him. Jesus was sinless, yet He suffered and died in our place. Nails driven through His hands and feet, a crown of thorns on His head, whipped until His flesh was torn—He bore our sin, shame, and guilt. He was buried… but three days later, He rose from the dead. Jesus is alive.

Now is the time to respond. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” John 3:36 says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.”

    You can pray:
“Dear God, thank You for loving me. I confess that I’ve sinned against You. I believe Jesus, Your Son, died for my sins and rose from the dead. Please forgive me. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

It’s not just a prayer—it’s about true belief, repentance, and surrendering your life to Christ. Now is the time. Turn from darkness to light, from sin to salvation. Follow Jesus.

Ask for forgiveness. Leave your old ways behind and live for Christ. Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Read your Bible, obey it, and stay in prayer. God is faithful to guide, strengthen, and walk with you daily.

He’s waiting with open arms. Don’t wait another day.

  7. Why does the girl have to get up there and ask the reporter then repeat the question then hand it over for somebody else to answer why not let the person answering just walk up and answer look girl we know you want to get on tv but there are other ways to do it and look better
