Passengers are facing nine days of major Metrolink disruption as works take place on two tram routes.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) says ‘essential’ engineering works will be taking place from Saturday, August 2, through to Sunday, August 10.
On those nine days, no Metrolink trams will run between Eccles and Cornbrook in either direction.
It means that 11 tram stops will be closed – with no services calling at Eccles, Ladywell, Weaste, Langworthy, Broadway, MediaCityUK, Harbour City, Anchorage, Salford Quays, Exchange Quay or Pomona.

Meanwhile, trams on the Trafford Centre line will not run to Manchester city centre as normal while the works take place.
Services will run between the Trafford Centre and Wharfside, and will not call at Pomona, Cornbrook or Deansgate-Castlefield as usual.
A TfGM spokesperson said: “From Saturday, August 2, to Sunday, August 10, essential engineering works will take place at Pomona and on the Eccles line.
“During this time, no tram service will operate between Cornbrook and Wharfside/Eccles via MediaCityUK.
“As a result, the Eccles via MediaCityUK line will be suspended and services on the Trafford Park line will only operate between Wharfside and the Trafford Centre.”
A bus replacement service will run between Eccles and Piccadilly, via Wharfside, on all nine days the works are taking place.

The bus will serve at all affected stops except for Pomona.
TfGM says Bee Network services may provide a faster or cheaper alternative.
Metrolink services are expected to resume as normal between Eccles, the Trafford Centre and Manchester from Monday, August 11.
