The first standalone Primark Home store in Great Britain is set to open at Trafford Palazzo in Manchester on 29 August 2025, the retailer has today revealed.

It will see homeware move out of Primark’s main Trafford Palazzo store, which will create room for an expanded womenswear area.

Spanning 12,000 sq ft over two floors, the new store is “set to be a gamechanger for interior lovers”, incorporating Primark’s elevated Edit collection, including “chic tableware and plush towels”, as well as 500-thread count bedding and luxury home fragrances.

There will also be a dedicated in-store Travel Shop, “to help customers get holiday-ready all year round”, with a range of stylish and practical travel essentials.

The new store follows the debut of the standalone Primark Home concept in Belfast earlier this year.

Ceara Doyle, Store Manager at Primark Trafford Palazzo, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be bringing the Primark Home concept to Trafford and I know there’s already lots of anticipation locally for opening day.

“We’re always looking for ways to give people a reason to come and shop in person, and we hope customers will love having a dedicated space to pick up their homeware favourites, with even more choice of affordable, quality products.

“We’re busy working behind the scenes to bring the new space to life, alongside a refresh of our main Trafford store, and we can’t wait to welcome shoppers through the doors next month.”

Mark Whittaker, Managing Director at Peel Retail and Leisure, added: “We couldn’t be prouder to be launching the first Primark Home store in Great Britain right here at Trafford Palazzo.

“The opening is another key development in the evolution of Trafford Palazzo, as we continue to deliver a unique blend of experiential shopping and entertainment in the heart of Trafford City, the UK’s foremost retail and leisure destination.

“Primark Home will offer something for everyone from stylish, affordable essentials for students, to great finds for families refreshing their spaces. It’s set to be a major draw for our visitors and a perfect fit for our growing retail and leisure offering.”

The launch of Primark Home follows news of major works to refresh Primark’s Manchester Market Street store, due to complete by September 2025.

That will include a new performance wear area, a refresh of its RAWR beauty studio, and the launch of Primark’s new pre-loved offer.
