On the night of 28–29 July 2022, Russia carried out a terrorist attack on Olenivka prison — where Ukrainian defenders of Mariupol were held after their heroic stand for the city.
The explosion killed at least 53 Ukrainian prisoners of war and injured dozens more.
Three years later, Russia remains unpunished for this war crime and continues to block any independent investigation.
