Trump says he will allow Ukrainian refugees to remain in US until end of war

1. I employ a Ukrainian refugee, and through her know a few others. My employee (under my sponsorship) has already secured long-term credentials to remain in the US along with her family; she got them out before Zelensky slammed the door on male emigration, so her husband is here as well. The others I know are all working on it. I’m guessing most of them will be staying.

2. ICE might have different ideas. They have a quota to make.

3. But if you’re Bolivian, you’ll be deported to Zimbabwe.

   Trump’s logic. Or racism, if you prefer.

4. Trump says a lot of things.

5. Trump doesn’t want to deport predominately white Christians, go figure.

6. So he’s allowing Ukrainian refugees, but not Canadians who are married to Americans.

   I wonder what happened when Trump was chatting in the UK. And whether he actually had time to do any negociating while he was spending all his time cheating at golf. Or if somebody else who was on some lists was doing it for him.
