I saw this box that is similar to a speed camera on a highway near Köln .
The image is low quality because I took it from a video that I made.
Do you guys know what is that?

  3. It is used to measure the amount of traffic at various times, the types of vehicles, etc.

    This is usually done during the planning phase of road improvements.

  8. It’s a traffic counter, the gathered information is used to recalibrate traffic lights, plan for road building, etc. AFAIK it doesn’t save any identifiable information, just counts vehicles passing by and time
