It's only getting worse.
I like a good morning stroll by the beach with the kids but I'm now having to avoid it during "park run" hours because they act like a plague of locust. Spitting and consuming the already tight path by the seafront.

Mob mentality, not only applies to dem yoots.
Some of the people in these park runs get a little carried away by it all. You’d swear they were doing an Ultra marathon with their little back packs, Garmin watches and Hoka trainers.
If only there was a massive park nearby in which to run, or something
Park run is a cult, I’ve been saying it for ages. They’re all obsessed with it and nothing else matters
I think the course has issues with the turn around just by the lido where there are lots of people even in the early morning in the summer. There were over 600 people doing the event last weekend and always get some idiots. But I think the problems are exaggerated. It starts at 9am and is generally pretty clear in half an hour. There are miles of prom available in either direction from St Helens or from the lido to go and walk with your kids if you’re too scared of the runners. Or you can wait a short time until it’s clear. You can walk along the edge of the foot golf, walk on the beach, walk or cycle on the path by the playing fields and uni on the Mumbles road. Most people are just jogging and avoid other users with no issues.
