The Müllabfuhr collects trash on Thursdays. I don't think I'll be able to fish it out when I get home.
Not ringing the bell was a regular thing but it seems now we've reached a different level of indifference.

Well, at least you’ve got photographic evidence. I’d take it up with Amazon support, they’re usually very understanding.
I had the same thing😅
They always been like that I had the. Nachbar blaue Tonne Story in 2019 😂
This is beyond indifference, it’s criminal. They’re destroying your property basically.
Well, you ‚lost‘ it and it wasn‘t there anymore when you tried to find it. Report that to Amazon.
I hope this filthy delivery guy gets what he deserves.
Well, to be fair, the paper bin is our secure location for delivery, works so far
This must be a new low for the delivery services!
I once got a photo of someone else’s legs, dog and apartment as proof of delivery!
I will always remember the DHL delivery notes mentioning my package being hid under the front door mat only to come and find a big package with our small Fußmatte on top of it
Many people put their paper bin as “Ablageort“.
Speaking from experience, maybe was fed up over people ordering and never being home or set up a ablegevereinbarung paired with the immense pressure of getting the job of today done today. Because if not you will have to do it tomorrow. Just order to a parcel shop if you know you are not home, being kind and show some empathy
Ist ne geläufig Art ist sicher und da wird selten reingesehen
Amazon should hire more german workers.
Former Amazon Driver, Dispatcher and Senior Customer Service guy here.
It is forbidden for Amazon drivers to deliver a package in any kind of trash can. Even if the customer explicitly wants it there.
Reasons should be obvious, as you already stated with the Müllabfuhr.
Talk to Amazon support, they are able to see the Image and should refund it. If they won’t help you try to escalate it higher. If that doesn’t work just call again, sometimes these guys are really stupid and don’t know what they are doing.
Slightly OT but wouldn’t life be much easier if each building or at least each street had its own kind of “packstation”. At least for the smaller packages that still don’t fit in the briefkasten.
I’m really surprised that we live in 2025 and we still don’t have a solution for this problem. It would be customer friendly but also much much better for the delivery guys.
Back to the topic. Recently a delivery guy left our package at “praxis”. We have like 5 doctor’s offices around our neighborhood so that was fun.
Und warum kannst du es nicht einfach rausholen?
From Amazon straight to trash as it should be
We call out Amazon delivery guy the Easter bunny – it’s always a hunt to find the parcels!
haha they did something similar to me but at least they put it behind the trash bin
Once I had a neighbour knocking on the door of my office. They notified me that the delivery guy put a package addressed to us just out in the communal yard. I went out to retrive the package. A minute after I got inside it began to rain heavily. The package contained a 1200€ computer.
The company even printed a huge picture of a compute on the side of the package which has its own huge issues when it comes to stuff being stolen… but the delivery guy knew it was a pc, saw the dark rain clouds and decided “out in the open is absolutely fine”.
I had a simliar case with another shop and dpd once.
The delivery guy threw the >1000€ package into a full yellow trash bin which stood at the street and was being picked up a few minutes later. So the package landed in the trash truck.
Everything was recorded with the video doorbell.
I contacted the shop, they investigated and the delivery guy told them that he delivered the package to my wife personally which was obviously a lie. Thank god i had the video to show to the shop. They didnt find it very funny because of the high package value.
Just say that unfortunately the garbage was collected so you would like a refund. Then keep the items.
Amazon’s deliveries have gone from okay-ish to extremely bad over the course of a few months. They don’t ring, I have to go look around the whole publicly accessible property for the package, sometimes it’s not even there although the app says delivered and that I had allegedly received it personally, in short, it sucks. I’ve tried complaining but it seems like they have vastly restricted the possibility to do that.
This is actually really funny on their part
