Some junctions in Spain are over-complicated. Here are some examples in Madrid. When Madrid becomes more populated or if car numbers increase in the future, these will become bottlenecks.

Madrid has 4 million people I think.
agree! and sign indications are horrible!
It is true!! some of them are like WTF is this but, they work well at the moment I would not complain. We are like 4 million in the city and almost 2 counting the outsides, is not London but still a lot of people. HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN LONDON OR PARIS ROADS ? that’s other lvl of mess !!!
I don’t know those places, but maybe they are caused by the existence of some historical building/monument that prevent to lay out a proper roundabout?
I’m not sure if you know it but Madrid is already as populated as it gets.
I am so grateful my married family drives me through Madrid! I get worried just watching them drive
On the other hand, I live in the US and have a roundabout in the neighborhood. Every week there is a car accident because people don’t know how to proceed.
