  1. The good old days when families sat together to look at the same screen

  2. I went to see the opening heats of one of the original series of RW. Because it wasn’t a televised thing it wasn’t Craig Charles doing the presenting, but seeing how big the robots were close up was amazing. You could feel the heat from Sgt. Bash’s flamethrower even through the Perspex.

I was gutted when the revival got canned. It was insane how much more power the robots have now. Little bashes are now absolute obliterations.

I spend a fair amount of time watching Battlebots compilations on YouTube from time to time.

  3. best presenter. You reaaly felt you were in some warehouse below the radar,

  4. Now I’m trying to remember what the red and black fur covered robot was called 🤔

  5. Aw, man; I loved Robot Wars – it was a big part of my youth; went to see it with the School at RAF Newton, got an autograph from the Razer Crew (loved that robot – was artwork) saw a glimpse of Craig Charles. Had the PC game which was fun, and still have robot wars top trumps card game 🙂

I actually really liked the reboot with Dara Ó Briain; the robots were far bigger, and it felt like a decent progression. It seemed to have good reviews and well promoted, so I’m surprised it didn’t have a longer run.

  6. If you need a potion that hair restores,
You’re too old for Robot Wars.

    Awoogeh awoogeh.

  7. It’s gone but not forgotten

    And it’s something I adore

So it’s time for another revival

    Of Robot Wars!

  8. Make sure to check out NHRL on YouTube if you get addicted, since they livestream their monthly events meaning more matches and, because of the lower weight class, more experimental bots.

  9. For those of you that want a modern version, BattleBots can be watched on youtube. It isnt quiete as good, but it scratches the itch.

  10. RAZOR FANS UNITE! Or was it Razer? Weird nippy little silver thing with the big serrated blade thing that came down and crumped things.

  11. With Jonathan Pearce commentating.

Life peaked whenever I watched it

  12. Someone needs to reboot the reboot. I really enjoyed the original and the reboot. I really enjoyed battlebots, and the reboot. But now neither are getting new series. I know NHRL is a thing, but NHRL doesn’t have Dead Metal or Carbide, or Tombstone

  13. Man, the memories of watching this every Friday and being absolutely mesmerised. Great show. The PlayStation game was awryt too.

  14. Where are you watching it? If you’re allowed to say 😂

  15. Hey may even take to red dwarf in a couple years ! I was the same

  16. TVplus runs the Robotwars episodes, but for more upto date robot fighting mayhem, look up BATTLEBOTS.

  17. The little kid who made Killertron with his dad is now a youtuber – Chris Broad / Abroad in Japan. His videos are great.

  18. There was one that flipped itself upright after being flipped and it was just the most mind bending thing ever. From defeat to fighting again. Eight year old me was astounded. Any remember the name?!

  19. Chaos 2 was the goat and razor and tornado were cheating pieces of shit!

  20. OP, I might have some mini bots available if your son would like them?

  21. I am so happy every episode of the main series + Extreme is available on youtube for decent quality, because its tradition for me to binge this entire show twice a year.
