Switzerland defends decision to place Ukrainian refugees in underground bunkers

  1. Reads like a hit peace.

First of all it’s Lucerne, not “Switzerland”. Second, the same person quoted in that article is quoted in a different article on German 20min with the following:

  2. The Article smells big time like fake news. They are only temporary in underground shelters until a home is found. They’re not forced to live there forever! It is a measurement if we take more refugees than our system can normally handle.

  3. Our attic has more light than a bunker, we tried to put a bed and bathroom there to make a guest room and the city of Zurich told us that we cannot do that because the windows are not big enough, they also don’t let us put bigger windows. We could have hosted refugees here, now they want to put them in bunkers, the irony….

  4. Ahhh suddenly this is an issue when the refugees are from Ukraine? Sorry but this has been like that for years, and nobody ever gave a fuck. Now it’s a fucking scandal out of nowhere.

  5. Switzerland has a lot of “Zivilschutzanlagen” which are meant to shelter the public in means of war. They. have beds and other infrastructure like kitchens and they are clean. As a Swiss citizen I also sleep there regulary, when I do my anual millitary service. They are ideal to host a big group of people for a short time.

  6. Happy for the ukranian refugees and wish them more luck but still sad for the palestian etc that they dont get the same respect
