Airbus UK Broughton provide the opposition at Park Hall Stadium, and Craig Harrison’s side will be looking to start as they mean to go on with a repeat of last season’s historic treble.
A 1-0 victory against Aberystwyth Town ensured that the Nathaniel MG Cup remained in Oswestry for a second consecutive season, with Aramide Oteh’s 48th minute goal the difference between the two sides in the final at Latham Park.
The Saints and the Wingmakers also squared off in this competition last season, although on that occasion, it was a third round match-up rather than a second.
Falling in the midst of their UEFA Conference League campaign, a goal from Adrian Cieslewicz on the stroke of half-time proved decisive at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
Despite an impressive showing from Airbus in the league last season, it was Colwyn Bay who clinched the one and only promotion spot from the JD Cymru North, meaning Mark Allen’s side are one again plying their trade in the second tier of Welsh football for the 2025/26 campaign.
They got the season off to a good start last weekend, however, with a 3-0 victory on the road against Buckley Town and sit top of the table after the first round of matches.
For Saturday’s game, The New Saints will take to the field in their traditional home kit of green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and green socks, while Airbus are set to wear all-red. Goalkeepers will be in all-yellow and all-grey, respectively.
Richard Wright is the referee, with Steffan Davies and Josh Roper the two assistants. Patrick Wilding is the fourth official.
Tickets can be purchased HERE and are priced at £11 for adults, £6 for concessions and £4 for U16s. To speed up entry into the stadium and prevent queuing on arrival, it’s strongly advised to purchase tickets online in advance.
If you aren’t at Park Hall in person, you don’t have to miss out on the action, as you can stream the match live via TNS TV (outside the UK and Ireland only) at 247.tv/live/football.
