The recent reports indicating King Charles and Prince Harry are one step closer to reconciliation have been a cause of celebration for many. King Charles is, after all, sick, and there have been concerns about whether he could and would reconcile with his son while there was still a chance. A new report, however, indicates there might be some worries about their possible reconciliation from an unlikely source.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Markle is scared that King Charles will use divorce as a “bribery card” and make it a condition for their reconciliation. A source even told the outlet, “She firmly believes the royals are scheming to drive a wedge between her and Harry.” King Charles and Prince Harry’s aides recently met, in what has been painted as a first step towards father and son possibly restarting their relationship.

“Meghan knows it’s wise for them to rebuild ties with the royals, but the pace of it all has left her rattled,” a source said. “She feels like things are slipping out of her hands, especially now that Harry‘s calling the shots without checking in with her the way he once did.”
The source also added. “She’s afraid the royals are trying to win Harry back while sidelining her in the process. She’s made it clear to him that he has to respect their partnership and not shut her out of these decisions.”
Prince Harry is said to be pushing for a reconciliation with his father, which is why a meeting between their aides took place. The Prince even said in a recent BBC interview, “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile.”
Of course, the rush seems to have to do with King Charles’ health. A few months ago, News Nation Now reported the King’s health situation was delicate. ”Charles is indeed a sick man, and he does have cancer,” a source told them. “He also refused chemotherapy and decided on a less invasive treatment. While Harry and his dad aren’t speaking, Harry would be aware of all of this via back channels.”
The Prince has also said he would like to reconcile with his brother William, though so far there have been no public steps towards reconciliation for the two.
One insider said about Meghan Markle’s mindset about this. “Harry’s stepped up to handle the talks himself, partly because he knows Meghan, despite his love for her, can be perceived as confrontational. But this whole situation is way outside her comfort zone, and she’s increasingly paranoid the royals are working to break them up.”
Sources also indicate, for Markle, the parallels to Diana are a source of worry. “As the reconciliation process moves forward, parallels to the Queen’s direct and uncompromising letter to Charles and Diana loom large,” they indicate. “With old wounds still fresh, Meghan’s anxiety centers on whether history might repeat itself – and whether her partnership may once again be deemed expendable in service of royal repair.”
We don’t know how this reconciliation will go, or if it will even take place, but hopefully, there’s a way forward for the family that allows for everyone to get along.
