Just yesterday I downloaded and installed a desktop application called Kiwix, which also lets you download an offline version of Wikipedia, it’s 110GB, just in case anyone wants an option to back it up. All perfectly legal, and actually encouraged by Wikipedia Foundation.

The UK government isn’t forcing anyone to give their biometric data to shady AI companies.
They ARE forcing companies to start implementing more than a simple tick box for their age verification.
Any company saying they will block service or delete accounts is just manipulating the public to demand less regulation for them.
Just verify your age, it takes less than a minute of your time. You already likely have a facebook account and probably always click accept on the cookie notice, which means they’ve already got everything on you anyway.
I use revanced to get premium accounts of apps so I don’t get any of these issues

All this does is force people to use other less secure websites. New people will try to pirate videos or music, most of which have no experience in doing so and may end up downloading some virus or some shit. It’s just pushing people into the parts of the Internet that are more dangerous to then

If they lose profits from an entire nation, wouldn’t they start, idk, lobbying, or something..? (Sorry, I’m American, idk if y’all have corporations over there do that.
