Graphic I created for a recent article. A friend gathered the data from historical archives and I used R for the data aggregation and datawrapper for the image.

  1. The fact that democrats have to even try when the opposition is ignorant corrupt authoritarian neo fascist Christian fundamentalist misogynistic homphobic nationalists kinda makes me want the US to fail

  2. Calling your opponents Nazis didn’t work. Next step – call them Nazis harder.

  3. This nicely illustrates George W. Bush and Donald Trump’s popular vote wins and losses.

  4. The party led by an Epstein peeedo bro is more popular? What a surprise!!!

  5. It is hard to gain favor when your foundation is ethical and moral in nature, yet you refuse to have actual teeth to defend your ideals.

  6. Democrats are smug and seem more likely to make you feel lesser for disagreeing with their views. Republicans are more likely to “other” you which is more genuine and less grating

  7. People talk a lot about voting for your interests. Well why would anyone who pays taxes vote for Democrats? They are solely a welfare entitlement party.

  8. If you are in any way surprised by this data, you need to spend less time on Reddit and Imgur.

  9. Americans are angry. Republicans have found representatives that draw on that. Granted, they draw on it by being absolute scumbags, but it’s enough to get people to want to vote. Democrats don’t have anybody to represent the fire people are feeling. Just a bunch of lukewarm “let’s do the right thing” talk. Most people want Democrats to win but nobody is excited about it, so they don’t vote.

Edit: Disclaimer, I voted. And I think it’s pretty shitty not to vote just because your party doesn’t look and act like they came out of Jersey Shore. But it seems to me that’s how it is.

  10. Had it on lock for like 20 years and threw it all away on Biden and Harris back to back. Their own faults

  11. It’s all about the economy. It’s the issue that affects everyone. And it pretty much is the only thing a politician should talk about. The Democrats have nothing to offer than class warfare. Billionaires aren’t the problem. It’s billionaires buying the government that is the problem. If you’re a billionaire that means you ave created at least 10x in wealth of everyone else and tons of tax revenue.

  12. Ugly confusing graph. Nothing beautiful about this data at all.

It is no wonder this visual required a paragraph of text below it to explain the confusion.

  13. Yeah, it turns out that just calling every one you don’t like a Nazi and being professional victims in perpetuity isn’t winning over the American people.

    Fortunately.

Even Obama said the current liberal movement needs to stop navel gazing. The left is epitomized by performative victimhood. None of that solves anything for anyone.

  14. This graph does an excellent job of demonstrating just how out of touch with reality Reddit is.
