If Labour ask for it, The Conservative response will be basically be the ‘Well Now I’m not going to do it!’ Pingu meme.
Good idea, let;s have a look at the councils that are currently not paying their staff above the living wage.

You know being the Council and the employer of so many people they can easily be the change they want to see, do they want to be that change? Fuck no.
The point of which will be what? To agree that prices have gone up?
We just had a budget where the Tories chose to ignore the impending cost of living crisis, they are not going to go back and change their mind now we are actually living in it. The Tories have had months to prepare and chose to do nothing to help or work to reduce the inevitable impact; they won’t do anything significant come the next budget in response to the crisis either. You can expect the Tory response to be all about waiting to see what will happen.
Classic Labour alarmism. These people have a publicly woeful government on a plate and yet still manage to be such a forgettable opposition.
People in the comments complaining but at least they’re suggesting something. The Conservative party’s main aim at the moment is to save Big Dog
