  8. Right, so if I’m reading this, McGregor’s now left himself open for a proper _criminal_ conviction? Wouldn’t that be some coda to the story: that had he just taken his lumps would have been “only” out of pocket; now he could find himself in serious legal peril thanks to his own hubris… especially if the other two testify that the rapist paid or induced them to perjure themselves.

  9. The focus will naturally be on McGregor, but if it turns out the two neighbours did lie then I hope they get absolutely run over legally. 

  10. That case is a heavy lift. She must have some seriously motivated lawyers on side. Hats off to them.

    Personally I would have taken the win she already had and gotten on with my life (though I know that’s easy to say from a distance and much harder when some scumbag has wrecked your life).

    Reality is that tangling with people like that will really only ever drag you down.

  24. As she should! This woman has been put through hell between the assault, McGregor himself and online bullying. I hope once this is over, she’ll be able to close this chapter of her life. Good on her for never backing down.
