I have been making a playlist full of Welsh, Norwegian, and Icelandic folk rock for a while, and although i love Folque's music so so much, i want a bit more diversity in the Norwegian music I have. I know about Gåte, Bergtatt, and Lomsk (Lomsk really remind me of Folque a lot)

But are there others I could check out?? I would love some suggestions 🙂

  1. If you’re willing to add the Swedes, check out Poeta Magica, Gjallarhorn and Hedningarna.

Check out Týr if you haven’t already. Kalenda Maya is probably the closest to Folque as in there is very little rock in the folkrock.

If you want some that’s just folk, not much rock, this album is a great place to start. [https://open.spotify.com/album/00ZGMnP1ZRMYpqGrVZyoka?si=J8ho2FKrTzaU8AHR3Z87vg](https://open.spotify.com/album/00ZGMnP1ZRMYpqGrVZyoka?si=J8ho2FKrTzaU8AHR3Z87vg)

For a good folkrock version of Kråkevisa, check out the one by Northwind, it’s a lot better than the Leaves Eyes one in my opinion.

    Edit: added another Swedish band
