  3. These are the types of stories which haunt your thoughts for at least the rest of the day. It could so easily have been me on the receiving end. It’s sickening to think of the life-long devastation he needlessly caused, and as a society we are willing to let him free after just 7 years.

  4. 11 years and will probably be out before. For taking away the rest of somebody else’s life and a father away from their children. The UK’s sentencing for certain types of crime is an utter joke. He should be facing AT LEAST 20 years.

    Reading the article, it says Robert Owen Greenhalgh is “of no fixed address” but he spent £50,000 on cocaine in six months and was at a nightclub when he attacked and killed Mr. Smethurst.

    No fixed address but he had 50 grand to spend on drugs, and more to spend on steroids and gym membership, and more to spend getting drunk in nightclubs? Exactly where has he been living?

  16. We’ve seen this story all too often in the news. This is one of those cases where the main focus must be on how lenient of a sentence he is getting. The coked/juiced up the murderer will be back in society just before he turns 39, and is free to live his life like nothing happened. Absolutely disgusting.

  22. I lived with a guy in Uni who was like this. He would say that the point of going out was to get so drunk that you didn’t feel anything in a fight.
    He also proudly claimed he would rape someone if he didn’t like them enough, because he knew it would get in their head and he would always find that funny.

    He actually said he respected me for telling him what i thought about him for saying that, I said he was a sick, evil bastard. He said he knew it and no one else would say it to him but I had the “balls” to do it so he liked me for that.

    I’ll never get that mentality, but there you go.

I knew someone who was my manager at my old job, big roided out, would use cocaine before going the gym to give himself energy, he would rage everyday in someway at work, thankfully not against any of us, but he’d slam phones down and break shit, he’s a disaster waiting to happen just like this thug

The ‘carpet under each arm, skipped leg day, low crotch skinny jean, poor man’s Connor McGregor, arm sleeve tatted , ‘loyalty’ tattoo but cheats on his missus, stands in the shallow end of the pool after working out, modded M3 driving, cocaine helps me work hard / play hard, only reads Ant Middleton books, ‘look at me wrong on a Friday night and I’ll fooking end you’ non men.

  31. The muscle will rapidly waste away. Like he will have small portions of shit food with just enough nutritional value so the government does not get sued for starving the inmates. He’ll have access to a jog around the yard once every couple of days and can maybe do pull ups. He’ll have no roids or HGH.

    He’ll rapidly become the skinny nowt he was before the roids and then the other inmates will kick his head in as they’ll remember him as the new, big, hyper aggressive guy and getting one over on him will boost their own cred.

    Plus coming off steroids/hormones suddenly can lead to pretty fucked up health consequences. So at least he has that to look forward to.
