Hero Stops Mass Stabber Mid-Attack #fyp #news #usa #hero #army #military

I’m sure by now you probably heard about the mass stabbing that happened at a Walmart Super Center in Traverse City, Michigan around 5:00 p.m. on July 26, 2025 when a 42year-old suspect entered the store and apparently started attacking shoppers at random across various departments without any apparent motive or connection to any of the victims. As of July 27th, 2025, the identity of the person who committed the heinous crimes has not been revealed. However, the local law enforcement agencies of the area released the identity of the bystander who intervened and stopped the incident from continuing. The man’s name is Derek Perry, a 41-year-old local resident from Traverse City who was just shopping with his family when the chaos erupted there. According to eyewitness accounts and security footage, he ran towards the perpetrator when everybody else was running away, using a store shelf for cover to approach the suspect. Perry then tackled the attacker, disarming him by force, which forced him to drop the knife. Now, once he dropped the knife, he restrained him and with the help of some other people until police arrived moments later. Another intervenor, a US Marine Corps veteran named Matthew Kay, who is visiting from Kent City, Michigan, assisted in taking down the perpetrator.

  1. Derrick perry!! Knew what to do , and did it ! Derrick !, You deserve all accolades , salutes , merits , and thanks. I sincerely hope all the best of health , happiness , and abundance is yours! You are a true Citizen of Value !

  2. Gun was involved to subdue the stabbing perp. Don't forget it. As it woulnt likely be exposed by media sources to keep the good guy with a gun situation not be spread and keeping gun owners seen as lepers to society

  3. You left out a very key detail. A good guy with a gun intervened and saved lives. The video shows the man drop the knife while being held at gunpoint. He knew his choices were drop the knife or be shot. That is exactly why we need the second amendment.

  4. Perry to the rescue. Good man. It blows the uk police attitude that they are the only ones running towards danger where everyone one else runs away. We need more men like Perry.

  5. Kagen… You messed this one all up. There's video of Derrick Perry with a gun in the parking lot going after the suspect. And Derrick is the marine. And there was 3 other people going after him. Now this may have been after they tried apprehending him in the store but this video says differently.

  6. Copy and paste this headline below: this video shows what truly happened atleast on the parking lot from Mr.Perry.. he stopped the guy with a guy outside. Kegan….I think you may have messed this one up a bit. Mr.Perry was the Marine.

  7. Dude it was on vidoe he didn't tackle him, he walked up with a gun and pointed it in his face and told him "drop it or ill shoot you" and the dude dropped the knife and the group of guys (bc it us a group of people that stopped to help) held him down until the cops got there. Its all on video. What video are you guys watching? bc the one i see was of a group of guys surrounding the stabber and the guy with the gun getting him to stop then the group of people holding him down until cops got there. Not this there was only one hero bs.

  8. I like your videos. But why is everyone neglecting to mention he was stopped by an armed civilian? Long before the police got there I might add. We'd hate to shine a good and bright light on being legally armed and stopping a mass casualty event!

  9. 👏👏👏It takes a rare heroic instinct to run into danger when everyone else is scrambling trying to save themselves.. ✨award his bravery!✨

  10. I get that everyone is focused on the good guy carrying, considering 🇺🇲 track record he's lucky he wasn't immediately gunned down by police, assumed to be the attacker!
💁‍♀️the problem with the 2nd amendment is usually that it's just as easy for someone with bad intentions or mental health issues to get their hands on a deadly weapon, not to mention how much worse the incident could've been..

  11. Just FYI, please research how to correctly pronounce Traverse City… my hometown. I appreciate your posts very much and want you to be informed. Thanks so much for the incredible content you share!
