These warning signs have changed slightly since moving to Dover from central London.

  1. I certainly don’t plan to give gulls lessons in food thievery. In any case, they seem to manage quite well without having to be taught.

  2. Judging by the boats in the background they’re near a bay.

    Those are Baygulls.

  3. My partner loves retelling the story of me explaining to them how to avoid their food being nabbed at the beach/coast.

At the ‘so don’t hold it out like this’ part.. the food disappeared.

  4. Have you not tried eating outdoors at the Serpentine? These fuckers are everywhere.

  5. Apparently you can get a plushie seagull holding a chip, someone gimme!

  6. The seagull is like _“yep, and I’ll fuckin’ do it again”_

  7. Brighton and Hove fans will do anything for some chips.

  8. Honestly they are scary birds I really don’t like them, they are viscous too fighting with each other. They are quite deranged tbh

  9. oh if that sign was in scarborough you’d have every pedantic bore ranting “there’s no such animal as the seagull” does my head in lol.

  10. Lost a burger after one bite in Brighton this weekend. Thought I was being smart and keeping an eye out, but the damn thing came from behind me. I think you just can’t eat on the beach any more, not without a spotter anyway.

  11. You don’t need to feed them. They will come for your food on their own.

    Flying rats.

  12. Don’t teach them? Does that apply to geometry? Asking for a friend. I may be in trouble.

  13. We need these badly in Portsmouth. They’ll aggressively divebomb people to steal chips.

  14. People who feed gulls should be made to go live on landfill, then they can commune with those bastards all day long.

  15. You’ve swapped “see it, say it, sort it” for “don’t feed them, don’t teach them.”

  16. You’ve swapped “see it, say it, sort it” for “Don’t feed them. Don’t teach them.”

  17. Shouldn’t it be beware *of* the seagulls? Or is my English just wrong?

  18. I’ve been teaching seagulls to read, is that a crime now?!

  19. Love the “don’t teach them”

Not limited to food here, they know too much!
