Found this buried in the Simme. It's welded by hand and made out of iron. The upper edge is sharp, which is weird bc that means it wasn't a sickle. It looks like there wasn't a breakingpoint on the left side so i also don't think it's a weighing knife. Aaand it is too curved and thin to be a froe.
please help i am running out of ideas

Probably a sickle.
As rusted and aged it is, it might looked a bit different whenever it got into the water.
Also, water over time will change shapes and looks of things.
If you think it might be of interest to archaeologists, you can send the image and a description of the context to the Archäologischer Dienst (https://www.kultur.bkd.be.ch/de/start/themen/archaeologie/archaeologische-entdeckung-melden.html)
Sickle
Looks like a scythe blade to me. Mounted in a long handle, used for cutting hay, wheat or similar crops before machinery. Also used by old Father Time and the grim reaper.
Probably a draw knife and not a sickle…
my old banana for reference
It’s a metal 😀 the rusted one more specific 😚. Thankyou ☺️
