An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck Bosnia and Herzegovina shortly after noon today, according to initial data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The epicentre was located approximately 20 kilometres southwest of Mostar, or 13 kilometres north of Ljubuški, at a depth of seven kilometres.

Residents reported that the ground shook for around six seconds, following a loud and powerful rumble that preceded the tremor. There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
