6. IMHO this is the first thing Trump has done that makes me think he is actually really panicking. And it’s not really about Epstein…sorta…

   The real issue is that inflation is still above the target rate of 2%, not meaningfully lower than when he took office, and likely to rise again due to tariffs. And now he knows that his job numbers are brutal and the economy is projected to grow by less than 2% in 2025.

   He needs things like big jobs numbers, falling inflation, and economic growth so he can point to those things and say “everyone is focusing on Epstein because they don’t want to talk about how good the economy is doing.”

   He can’t deflect from Epstein because he has nothing positive to deflect to.
