Can we get a Pedo one next?
Might as well at a 3rd impeachment while they are at it
Waiting for everyone to forget.
Shouldn’t have ever come down in the first place.
Now they’re pretending like it was for the purposes of restoration lol
So what was the point of taking it down and then putting it up again?
Next week’s headline: Trump fires entire Smithsonian leadership team.
Can we get a strike three? Please?
When he tallies up his 3rd one.
My guess it will be redacted.
Dude should get his own exhibit called convicted felon 😂
I’ll believe it when it’s back up.
Two weeks, eh?
They adopted Trump’s two weeks, huh?
They won’t. Trump will find out and do what he’s done since he was inaugurated. Abuse the executive branch to pressure the Smithsonian to remove him from the exhibit. Or just remove the exhibit all together.
Donations must have been drying up
Can’t wait for the new Wrongfully Accused section.
Why couldn’t they review it while it was in place?
[Discussing the fate of the display]
Maj. Eaton: We have top men working on it right now.
Indiana: Who?
Maj. Eaton: Top… men.
In a couple weeks lol
It should have never been removed. My god that man has a fragile ego.
“restore”
When do they debut his exhibit in the “Rapist Pedophile” exhibit?
Cool, next do an exhibit on convicted felon presidents throughout history.
“In two weeks” most likely. Said the orange man in the shadows.
It’s going to frame the impeachments as an unfair witch hunt and abuse of power by Congress against the most popular president ever. Bank on it.
With mandated asterisks explaining the hoax element and how Obama is treasonous, got it.
Public pressure works, keep it up!
I called yesterday. Guy who answered they they have had hundreds of calls. Thousands of emails
Not good enough IMO. Smithsonian is supposed to be a name synonymous with history and education.
That’s tainted now. Will not take the services they provide at face value anymore.
We need to demand WHO removed it…And they need to be removed next.
But they were correct when they said only 3 Presidents were seriously facing removal.
Because Republicans weren’t being serious about impeaching him.
Forgive me for asking but when and why did it go away?
How much effort does it take to get it back up?They need weeks?
In two weeks time? sounds familiar…
They’re just going to redact all mentions of President Trump
I’ll believe it when I see it
I was one of the people that left them feedback about it!
I reminded them that they should know better than anyone, that history isn’t meant to be convenient. It’s meant to be honest and factual.
Tyrants trying hard to erase history.
Doubt it. Add a child rape section in there too
I emailed them the other day. I got this response today –
> Thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt inquiry.
>
> We want to share a statement that was issued today by the Smithsonian.
>
> As the keeper of memory for the nation, it is our privilege and responsibility to tell accurate and complete histories. As has been recently reported, in July, a placard was removed from the National Museum of American History’s exhibit The American Presidency: A Glorious Burden. The intent of the Impeachment section of the exhibit is to reflect all impeachment proceedings in our nation’s history.
>
> The placard, which was meant to be a temporary addition to a twenty-five year-old exhibition, did not meet the museum’s standards in appearance, location, timeline, and overall presentation. It was not consistent with other sections in the exhibit and moreover blocked the view of the objects inside its case. For these reasons, we removed the placard. We were not asked by any Administration or other government official to remove content from the exhibit.
>
> The section in question, Impeachment, will be updated in the coming weeks to reflect all impeachment proceedings in our nation’s history.
>
> We recognize we erred in explaining our approach about this decision and fell short of our standards. Please know how grateful we are for your support and outreach. We commit to you and our nation that we will continue to maintain the highest standards based on scholarship, accuracy, fairness, and consistency.
>
> Thank you.

…with a plaque that says “sometimes impeachments are actually fake news like this one and just prove how awesome the president who got impeached was.”
