\*non-resident foreigners

I’m grateful for any info you have as [hse.ie](https://hse.ie) isn’t as helpful as I’d hoped.

(If you’re curious about why I’m asking, it’s because I’m allergic to propylene glycol, an ingredient in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, but I might be able to get vaccinated now that Novavax is available in Ireland! :D)

  1. they require a pps number, which you can only get if you work, to work you need a visa/eu passport.

basically they make it hard for those without a pps

  2. I imagine that you can _but_ you will likely not be able to get official proof of vaccination (e.g. EU COVID Certificate) without a lot of hassle. If you don’t need that, then you can try contact the HSE as you’ll need to do so without having a PPS number handy.

You would have better luck in other countries like Poland and Germany on that front. In my case, I got vaccinated as a non-resident foreigner (essentially a tourist) in Poland and I had a choice of vaccine and had my certificate printed there and then. That was June 2021 though.

  3. Do you have a visa? They used to need proof of residence so a bill in your name. Not sure now, that was last year when there was priorities.

I know they waved Chinesr citizens at one point because they were not being allowed reenter their country without a vaccine

If not, You could get someone registering you who doesn’t bother checking.

  4. As far as I’m aware, as long as you can prove your address you can get the vaccine here (but even then we vaccinated homeless people, so not a rigid rule). I’ve a good friend from Brazil who’s cousin moved to Ireland in January and they got jabbed within a month of landing and this was the case.
