Anti-Trump protesters march in DTLA to 'Rage Against the Regime'

Demonstrators marched in downtown Los Angeles to protest the Trump administration as part of “Rage Against the Regime” rallies held across the nation.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Demonstrators marched in downtown Los Angeles Saturday to protest the Trump administration as part of “Rage Against the Regime” rallies held across the nation.

The demonstration, organized by the group 50501, kicked off at L.A. City Hall and was described as a day of mass mobilization against Trump’s policies, such as the administration’s immigration crackdown and the gutting of federal agencies.

Protesters held up signs and flags as a 20-foot-tall balloon depicting Trump in a diaper accompanied the crowd.

During the protest, a large group marched to the federal building and blocked southbound lanes of Alameda Street between Temple and Aliso streets. Law enforcement officers formed a line while protesters gathered a few feet away, video showed.

The event is the latest in a string of nationwide protests to take place against Trump this year. Organizers of the “No Kings” protests in June said millions of people marched in hundreds of events from New York to San Francisco.
