I’d rather be knocked out than listen to that shit
For people who don’t bother to read the article and just naturally want to attack the man assuming he must automatically be wrong because that’s sadly the world we live in today
He didn’t do anything wrong, the security were after a ticket jumper and accidentally hit him in the process which they called “Collateral damage,” he then obviously had to be evacuated to hospital which caused him to miss the concert
The company has apologised and said they will refund him for what happened but he doesn’t want the refund, he just wants to be able to go and see the concert
> Joel ultimately decided not to press charges.
I didn’t think that was how it worked in the UK; I thought that was a US thing.
I feel like I read about this on legal advice, must be the same guy. Remember him saying one of the security men actually used the word ‘collateral’ when asking what happened.
I once missed half of a slayer set because I got utterly clotheslined by the pit ogre.
But that was part of the experience to be honest.
The rest of the night was awesome and ended up becoming mates with him.
Good times…
How much do the security guards charge for this service? 😁

Is this a plot to a film.
Middle-aged man, let’s call him Eddie, just living his humdrum life. Wife, and two kids run of the mill job, same struggles as everyone else, the cost of living , family life, getting older, midlife crises. Then, out of nowhere, Oasis announced a reunion!! Its on, one last big one with the boys.
So a gang of mid 40 year old men all rock up in bucket hats and sambas to relive their youth one last time. Out of nowhere, a ticket jumper hops the fence followed by security and bang. Eddie wakes up to the faint sounds of wonderwall, but hes not in the cincert! He’s in a single bed, pamella Anderson taped to the wall, the big breakfast on the portable video TV combi sat on the black malimine chest of drawers in the corner….. He’s 16 again, full of spots and hormones, and about to go on a wild adventure.
Eddie’s woke up in 1995 is it a deep coma, time warped or was his entire life up to then just a dream!!!
It obviously called “dont look back in anger”
Dont steal my idea.
Security guards are fucking thugs speaking from experience. One of them knocked one of my teeth because I had a bottle of beer with me in the queue for the theatre.
Oasis? How am I just hearing now that they’re back together?!
Same happened to me at Glastonbury.
Security smashed into me from behind chasing someone.
It really, really fucking hurt and they couldn’t give less of a fuck
Unsurprising, my partner was at Heaton park and witnessed a girl falsely accuse a young lad of hitting her, the girls father then stormed over and attempted to headbutt him, then security promptly showed up and kicked the victim out despite everybody nearby trying to tell them what actually happened, presumably because they thought that was the easiest way of dealing with it.
Money back and a free ticket for the next gig he can attend, surely.
Refund??? Someone has to get sued here, they took the piss
