After a grey and rainy start, Luxembourg can expect a return to dry, sunny, and warmer weather from mid-week onwards, culminating in summer-like conditions by Friday, according to MeteoLux.

Patience will soon pay off. Although the week of 4 to 8 August begins under unsettled skies, the most pleasant days are still to come, according to MeteoLux.

A gloomy start to the week

Monday 4 August will begin with very cloudy skies and light rain in the morning, followed by gradual improvement in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs of around 21 to 23 °C.

Tuesday 5 August will continue in a similarly unstable fashion. Light showers are expected throughout the day, although rainfall totals will remain limited (1 to 3 litres per square metre). Temperatures will range between 20 and 22 °C, with a cooler feel due to a westerly wind.

Wednesday 6 August will bring a change in conditions. Although the skies may still be overcast at times, the rain will have cleared. Temperatures will dip slightly to between 18 and 20 °C, but a more stable weather pattern is expected. MeteoLux is forecasting dry and brighter weather – a sign of a marked improvement on the horizon.

Sunshine and warmth to end the week

On Thursday 7 August, the trend becomes clearer: skies will be partly to mostly cloudy, with no rainfall expected. Temperatures will begin to rise, reaching 22 to 24 °C during the day.

Finally, Friday 8 August is set to be the finest day of the week. The Grand Duchy will enjoy mostly sunny weather, a moderate south-westerly wind, and summer-like temperatures peaking between 25 and 27 °C – all under a nearly clear sky and a distinctly summery atmosphere.
