How the fuck is Australia that high, we do nothing but whinge
So people are pessimistic about the direction they put their nations on with their electoral decisions?
Lmao I would bet my bank account Greece would be at the bottom of this fucking list
Most French thing ever
I’m surprised South Koreans are so optimistic. I know economically they’re not bad, but their nearly non existent fertility is the talk of the world.
The fact that my country is somehow above world average on this shows that not just we’re fucked, but the world as a whole
quintessential European to complain, that’s how we move things forward.
Good thing they live in a democracy, where they can freely choose what social services will be cut in order to buy a load of shitty American weapons!
It’s better to look at the trend of every country separately than compare, maybe it’s because of cultural reasons but in some countries when the economy is in bad shape the amount of people saying the country is in the right direction falls down to 30-40% while in some countries even when the economy is doing well it only increases to 30%, another factor is also the relative level of economic growth, India might be really poor but their economy is growing at 6% compared to 1-2% for developed countries.
Sweden is on the list, but Danmark isnt???
Clearly a Swedish ploy to once again be a rabblerouser!
Can anyone explain what is going on in Peru?
We keep re-electing the same political parties that have moved wealth from the working class to the rich for over forty years. Not exactly a surprise. The only surprise is that morons keep voting for them.
Dutch people have been pessimistic about the direction of their country since 1972. It’s part of our culture to cry about everything.
MACRON ENCULE
Why are the Japanese so unhappy?
Yet you ask them what’s wrong sbout the direction and they probably can’t agree. except for in Argentina. they certainly do.
Now overlay this graph with press freedom
Turkey people are right to be negative/pessimistic
The west declining and east rising…
France is actually very optimistic according to this graph
Wow, what a surprise.
It’s almost as if 30 years of conservative austerity politics, massive cost of living crisis, undermining online privacy, bowing to trump in negoriations, and bailing out banks while workers go under, doesn’t work or anything.
the only time italy will be in the top 5 anything
Also according to the chart: People in the world are pessimistic about the direction of the world.
Why is this chart on r/europe? Half of the countries mentioned aren’t European and quite a lot of European countries aren’t mentioned.
They asked people on great britain but not northern ireland?
wait i thought we germans love to complain??? seems like france has surpassed germany
For us Hungarians, I’d say it’s realistic rather than pessimistic.
Wonder why. Our people can’t afford rent and food, our population is old and dying, our cities dangerous, dirty and full of criminals but our governments are more interested in buying more weapons to send to Ukraine.
Worth noting a lot of the countries that are heading in the right direction are the ones Europe is choosing to ignore and cut ties with.
South Korea majority thinks they are going in the right direction? Oh wow. Oh no.
Wait why is my country, Australia, affiliated with this poll?
USA at 56 – 44 is wild. How *isn’t* it “off on the wrong track” right now?
Macron, the Attila of politics, he burns everything in his path…
