I would not have expected how far Switzerland is compared to the US and how small also. I guess this explains why they say: Americans don’t know what old is, Europeans don’t know what far is.
When standing on Säntis you can see all 5 neighboring countries.
Why is it not in Montana. More appropriate.
Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power.
I feel like nobody on reddit ever owned a globe.
The size is no surprise, but the latitude always gets me. I always expect it to be of around new york height, but it’s actually closer to Canada.
So whats our battleplan to take over USA then?
Our country is so Small yet it feels giant
I think its crazy how big the US is. I have only been once. The whole of Switzerland looks like have the size of some states!
I lived in the US for a couple years, we went on vacation once, drove south for 4 to 5 hours straight, not only was it mindblowing that we were still in the same country, but we were still in the same state
I’m pretty sure the entire county of USA is bigger then the entire continent of Europe if u don’t count the seas
Quality over quantity
The longitude is wrong, though
So we kind of look like a small crumpled up piece of paper to them :///
Yeah, we are not number one in size, but in pretty much else.
I live in North Dakota. It kinda blows my mind that driving from Fargo (east side of Switzerland on map) to Bismarck (west side), that you would pass through 3 different languages!
Ewwww, North Dakota
Ahh, if only Switzerland were as beautiful as Minot, North Dakota. 1 meter of snow in April. -20 degrees.
Is there a link to make maps like this?
TIL that the US are much farther south than I thought
Quality over Quantity lol
Compare Montana in the US to Germany – about the same physical size. Montana has 1/80th the population.
Cool. Basically the size of metro Atlanta lol
So are you just doing this in every single country’s sub to collect karma?
As far as scenery and climate Switzerland is just like western Washington. I know a lot of Swiss who moved here because it looks like home. We just happen to have a ocean.
As a Swiss who’s been living in the states for the past 11 years, Switzerland feels bigger
We would literally drown in one of the lakes which look like a palm!
Now do the height profiles so we can feel important again. Everybody knows it’s all about girth, not lenght or width.

Keeping it up north is “cheating”.
[Move it down south](https://i.imgur.com/pyNXe6Q.jpg).
How can something fake have latitude?
Yes it’s tiny. Surprise to no one.
