Dominion Energy urges financially strapped South Carolina customers to seek bill help amid ongoing heat and humidity. Here are some options for help.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — With high temperatures and humidity continuing across South Carolina, Dominion Energy is reminding customers experiencing financial hardship that help is available through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and other energy assistance resources.

“The combination of hot summer weather and high humidity can really drive up monthly energy bills,” said Sam Dozier, general manager of customer service at Dominion Energy South Carolina. “We encourage our customers to reach out to us for help. Support is available through LIHEAP and other payment plans and assistance programs we offer throughout the year.”

To apply for LIHEAP, electric and natural gas customers should contact their local community action agency. A full list of agencies by county is available at DominionEnergySC.com/assistance.

Customers may also qualify for EnergyShare, a Dominion Energy-funded, year-round program supporting income-eligible, elderly, or disabled individuals with energy bills.

Customers are encouraged to log into their account online or use the Dominion Energy mobile app to explore available payment plans and assistance options.
