Comparing the GDP of European countries with that of US States

  1. Who decided to put those Volcano Vikings near our beautiful green and pleasant land?

    Get them away from us where they belong!

  2. Of course this is just for fun. It doesn’t compare how GDP of the US states benefits from the ties to a American federation. Which I might suggest is more powerful than say the ties of European countries via the EU. And of course, don’t even get Texans started on the possibility of having nuclear submarines. They’d ‘yee-haw’ for weeks about that.

  3. So I checked the numbers for fun and it turns out that we would be the fifth largest US state in terms of GDP. We also hold this rank in the European Union. Coincidence?

    Yeah probably

  4. UK = California = 3.2 T

    Switzerland = Pennsylvania = 813 B

    Germany = California + Pennsylvania = 4.2T??

    It could be Germany = California + Illinois according to the numbers

  5. How can Germany be California + Pennsylvania if UK is Cali and Switzerland is Penn while German GDP is bigger than British and Swiss combined
