Elon Musk has long held himself as a champion of free speech. In April 2022, he proclaimed in a post on Twitter: “By ‘free speech,’ I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people”.
Just a few months after that tweet, Musk bought the social media company for $44 billion, renamed it X, not before firing CEO Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal and other high-ranking executives. “[T]he bird is freed,” he posted.

Elon Musk serial poster
Since then, the 53-year-old billionaire entrepreneur has been highly active on the platform, dipping into diverse topics: politics, current affairs, technology, social trends… mocking woke ideology and its pronouns, and once in a while giving advice or delivering the odd nugget of wisdom (“We are a tiny number of atoms in a vast Universe”).
The Tesla CEO has left no one indifferent for his views, reactions and his occasional risqué posts. Depending on which side of the fence you’re on, or even if you’re sat on it, he’s managed to upset someone somewhere with his posts, but then that’s social media for you.
Spicy videos and images on Grok Imagine
Elon is also promoting his new AI-powered video generation tool, Grok Imagine, which features a Spicy Mode that allows users to unlock provocative, NSFW image generation, such as scantily-dressed anime dancers. Some users complain that Spicy Mode is a step backwards. The sexually explicit content it generates merely objectifies women.
There are restrictions when generating the 15-second Spicy Mode animations – certain instructions involving celebrities will have limits and characters appear partially clothed but never fully naked.
Grok Imagine was rolled out last week for X app users. It allows users generate images and videos from text prompts in real-time. Since then, Musk has been reposting the results, many of which are nubile young women in various states of undress.
