Feli reviews stories on the U.S. that are dominating German news outlets, and opinion polls of Germans. She also asked her German viewers to take a survey and comment on the current situation here. More than 250 took her up on both requests, many of them replying in considerable detail.
Aside from a tiny percentage who seem to align themselves with right wing extremist party AfD (Alternative für Deutschland) , the Germans responded with great concern for the U.S. and for its relationship with Europe, with many volunteering comparisons between the current situation here and what they learned in school and from their families about the 1930’s in Germany.
