FRASER MCCONNELL captures back-to-back victories at the RallyX double-header in the FC2 class in Nysum, Denmark, over the weekend, making himself a serious championship contender for the final round set for Estering, Germany, this weekend.

These victories launched McConnell from a distant third in the championship standings to just two points behind his teammate and season-long leader Casper Jansson.

McConnell said he is delighted to finally be back on top of the podium.

“Double win this weekend in the FC2 finals! Really happy with this weekend’s performance and the vibe that the Danish crowed brought! Germany next week, here we come,” McConnell posted on his Instagram page, posing on top of the podium.

McConnell, on day one in Q2, delivered an ‘around the outside’ move from P4 to P1 at turn one, holding the lead to the checkered flag and recording the fastest time of the session. He placed third overall, topping the FC2 class, after three strong qualifying heats.

He delivered an around the outside move again in the semi-final from P2 to take the lead. Starting from pole in the FC2 Final, his execution of his race saw him claiming his first top-step finish of the 2025 season.

On the final day, McConnell continued his dominance as he opened with a P4 in Q1, then led Q2 from start to finish to secure a front-row showdown with Danish native Ulrik Linnemann in Q3.

McConnell finished the qualifying rounds second overall and first in the FC2 class, securing pole for the semi-final, ending in the lead to earn pole for the FC2 Final.

He took charge in the final, leading from start to finish, completing a clean sweep of the FC2 final in Denmark and locking in a double victory leading up to the championship finals.

McConnell victories were made even more special, given the track was where he had his first Supercar win in 2021 against seven-time FIA World Champion Johan Kristoffersson.
