Seriously can you people think before you park?

I’ve reported it to Lime. I don’t care if it’s someone who nicked a ride. Lime needs to be accountable for anyone using their bikes.

  3. Most people don’t have any consideration for others, I always move the bikes out the way, for myself and others, whilst others always just walk around it not moving it for anyone or even themselves.

  4. They litter the pavement everywhere. I walked past one last week on a stairwell. The next day there were two there. One dumped in the middle of a large Royal Park in West London. Yesterday Hounslow Council announced they were banning them from their streets. Hopefully they won’t be the last.

  5. The providers don’t police it. When you end a Forest ride you take a photo so they can see how you’ve parked it. And if you’ve parked like a tit you just get told “do better next time” – it’s within their capability to fine you, or a three strikes and you’re out etc.  

    Although tbf people just don’t give a shit and have main character syndrome, everything is someone else’s problem not theirs. We used to call it “I’m all right jack”.

  6. I live and work around here. One of the worst areas for Lime ignorance. Oblivious, self entitled, privileged types (possibly historical inbreeding).

    You know the ones… who hit 21 and start dressing like their 50-something parents.

  8. Cars aren’t generally parked across pavements like the above. This affects old people and mothers with pushchairs too. They shouldn’t be dumped on riverside walkways like this either where it’s unlikely anyone will see them and use them. If the morons that do this sort of thing had a bit more consideration for their fellow citizens then there wouldn’t be so much of a problem. I live in a neighbouring borough and we are hopeful they’ll get banned here too. Either that or the users of these things need to be “educated” in civil behaviour.

  12. Councils gladly accept the contract money and don’t appear to care about pedestrians . It’s time they started impounding anti social parked bikes and charge the companies to get them back.

  13. The councils need to be must stricter in their next round of contracts. If a bike is inconsiderately parked, add a £10 charge (the photo will be the self-submitted proof).

    It is essential that this is a three strikes and out rule or the bike companies will *want* people to park badly for additional revenue.

    This will lose them a % of customers, but we need to train manners into society.

  14. This drives me mental. Someone once put a bike against my front gate. Had to rent it to ride it down to a wider bit of footpath less than 50m away.

    When uber took over lime/it was incorporated into the one app, the option to report a bike was removed.

  16. I have seen these bikes placed perpendicular in the middle of bike lanes, zebra crossings and thin pavements similar to OPs image. I am convinced it’s done deliberately by arseholes.

  17. Why can’t they have all types of electric bikes requiring a docking station? I keep seeing this everywhere, all the time, ridiculous.
