Share of young people living with parents – we have it worse than most of our neighbours in this respect

  1. Spiralling rents, insufficient building, endless red-tape in relation to mortgages, foreign investment groups incentivised to focus on snatching up property that exists, vacant properties lying dormant in towns and cities…. what can you expect, really?

Neoliberalism working hard for the few at the expense of the many.

  2. I think when you account for culture of and pressure release of emigration and how we could have so much more of our younger generations still at home then it’s kinda shocking. You could ramp that up to 25%-30% no bother I’d say.

  3. The moment you realise you’re not classed as “young” and are 35 🙁

(Thank fuck I’m not living with the rents though)

  4. Worth noting that in Southern Europe it’s more culturally normal to live with your parents until a later age as well,so our situation is particularly bad.
