Weird how so many Welsh people are thinking of voting for this bunch of traitorous con artists
And this is the policy of Reform – they are anti-Wales in every respect and want to make Wales “Western England”. They hate the Welsh language, they hate Welsh culture, they hate anything that isn’t “British” (i.e. English). Remember **that** when you take to the polls next year: not “sToP tHe BoAtS” in Dover which is clearly having such a major impact on your little Welsh village or town /s
Reform are the most dangerous party this country has ever seen. Do not let them ruin Wales.

ahh yes, Reform – “Wales has gotten too many rights lately, its time to put them back under the English heel” – and yet, Some “Welsh” people seem to want to be back under the english boot
Fucking idiots….
He literally hired a rugby coach as a director of football and now wants to run the country.
“Rupert Lowe couldn’t manage a target.” – Cymro Man Punk
So what? He can have that view and it will be represented on the ballot box for those who share it.
In wider terms i’d agree that Wales has too many politicians, but the Senedd is not where i’d reduce them. We could easily reduce the number of local authorities and county councillors instead.
It’s like the people how still say “Scottish Executive” out of spite. Its name changed like 14 years ago…
I don’t think any MP should be allowed to call for the dissolution of devolved governments, if reform get into power Wales and Scotland must gain independence as their whole arrangement within the UK would be violated as reform seeks to strip them of independent governance
Interesting that one of his reasons for wanting to abolish the Senedd is that it doesn’t serve England.
*Scratches off the Reform name badge* “I knew it!”
Actual name badge: England Nationalist Party.
I’d like to see a news article saying the Welsh Assembly wants to abolish the Reform party
It’s got fuck all to do with him anyway.
He’s an English former public school boy, whose views and behaviour are too extreme for both the Tories and fucking Reform?!?
He’s pally with, or rather sucks up to – because (detestable as he is) his admirer probably sees him as the pathetic, sycophantic, desperate social climber, toady he truly is – the world’s worst billionaire narcissist and schoolyard bully, Elon Musk, the man who didn’t just go to Elevenerife, but went to Billionerife.
To quote a popular meme:
“You have no authority here, Rupert Lowe.”
Fuck off, saes.
Ti’n ddim yn cont, mae’n ddim nag yr glydwr nag y ddyfndwr gen ti.
Ti’n tŵp. Yw ti’n fasgaidd ‘boomer’.
(Mae’n ddrwg gen i dros fy Nhymraeg ‘rusty’, dwi’n ail iaith a dwi i ddim wedi siarad Cymraeg ers dwi wedi ymfudaf yma yn Llydaw, yr genedl Celtaidd chweched 🙂 )
Men like this are desperately lashing out because they see that the old system of cronyism is crumbling beneath them.
It’s part of a much larger extinction burst from those on the far right, from those who have always been in power and who have always been in a place of privilege – no matter how small the advantage that privilege may give them, it is still privilege, and no matter if they still are disadvantaged in other ways!
As the famous quote says:
“When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.”
Devolution for Wales, Scotland and NI is equality.
But those English MPs in Westminster who oppose it are those who have had a long history of the privilege of having their country, England, and their regions, and their local areas needs represented, heard and valued by Westminster.
They haven’t had to suffer decades of Secretaries of State who weren’t even Welsh and who never even bothered to learn our National Anthem (looking at you, John Redwood); or the suppression of our national languages, our literature, our culture and our heritage; or the plundering of our resources and the forced removal of people from their homes – the Highland Clearances, Tryweryn.
Some of them are part of the same upper classes who bought up our land and plundered our resources.
Sadly, others are, yes, of working class origins but have fallen prey to the age old fallacy of tribalism, something which the first group then use to manipulate them against those with who they should be finding common ground.
Both groups tend to be people who are extremely individualistic, selfish, and lacking in empathy and compassion.
This extinction burst is loud, outrageous, desperate, extremely hyperbolic, and to many of us, it seems so obviously wrong, false, deliberately misleading and manipulative in its claims, yet somehow its claims still manages to deceive so many ordinary people.
It works because people are exhausted, run into the ground, desperately looking for anyone to blame and, at the same time, looking for a quick easy fix.
Decades of underfunding, by the Tories, of absolutely everything, in the UK, means that nothing works properly and everything sucks, but it sucks the most in deprived areas, which is much of Wales, and for the most disadvantaged people.
It’s hard, when you are struggling to survive on benefits, with no hope of work, in poorly maintained overcrowded housing.
It’s hard when you’re signed off sick, in fear of losing your job because you’re on a waiting list for an operation that you need to go back to work, but it might not happen in time, before your employer fires you.
It’s hard when you have a lifelong disability, severe enough that you’re on PIP and you really can’t work. You’ve already been to tribunal three times, and lost your PIP while waiting for the tribunal because an assessor lied on their report. And now, the government is threatening to take your PIP away!
There is so, so much misinformation floating around online.
Many people haven’t read a book since leaving school, sometimes decades ago.
They’re not stupid, but they do lack the ability to critique both mainstream and social media and to interpret the different forms of information presented to them, especially the statistics!
They see refugees being housed in hotels, and they don’t understand that the money to pay for those hotels comes from a completely different pot to the one that funds social housing in their area, or that pays for their local hospitals, or schools.
They are also told complete lies, online, about the ‘benefits’ that refugees receive – which are, in fact, a pittance.
The refugees become an easy target for all of their pent-up anger and frustration because they are so visible and obviously different and ‘other’.
But it’s those in charge of Reform, and the Tories, and who are funding them, and big business, of course, that they should really be angry at!
This is actually a class war, not a race, or nationalistic war.
Being Welsh, we should know this better than anyone else.
Wales has always been socialist at its core because to be socialist, is to be compassionate and to care about each other, to care about our communities, and our society as a whole.
Wales is the county of Aneurin Bevan, after all.
Wales has universities that were founded largely thanks to the donations of ordinary, everyday people, collected in our chapels, churches, pubs, Miner’s Institutes and similar places and education was always, traditionally, valued by working class people in Wales.
I still remember when there was the annual Miner’s Eisteddfod in the Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl.
Our writers, poets, actors and musicians didn’t come from the middle and upper clases, like in England. They came, and still come from working class familes, from Hedd Wyn, to Richard Burton and Dylan Thomas, to Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Bonnie Tyler, to Michael Sheen, Ruth Jones and Rob Brydon, to Steve Strange, the Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, the Stereophonics, Bullet for My Valentine, Feeder, Anrhefn, Goldie Looking Chain, Gorkys, and many, many more!
We have always been a friendly and welcoming country to those who come to Wales to make it their home and to be part of our community – not to live separately within it.
The Italian community in South Wales is an excellent example of how **economic** migrants were accepted into South Welsh communities, and were able to adapt while still maintaining their own cultural identity.
In more recent years, Ukrainian families who are refugees from the war have moved to North Wales and their children are going to Welsh medium schools and having fun learning Welsh 😀
Peopke in Wales have far more common ground with the refugees, the migrants in the hotels than with the leaders of Reform!
They just don’t realise it because they are being fed a constant stream of bullshit, designed to play to their basest, instinctual, tribalistic fears.
