  1. No no no.. Only R’s can do it, don’t you get it yet?? ‘Rules for thee not for me’… This should be the Republicans motto.

  2. Just wait till Marge Green hears about this Jerry Mander fella.

  3. Hypocrisy is the cornerstone of the Republican Party.

  4. Also his argument is specious.

If 40 percent of people vote republican in every election you should expect 0 republicans holding office.

  5. The right is so full of hypocrites. Just go and tell them you’re in favor of making everyone’s vote count equal, and watch their heads explode.

  6. This can’t be real? Maybe Yale graduates are not as smart as I thought.

  7. Look at MS. 40% democrats… consistently elects Republicans… wonder why?

  8. Can you provide a link for this tweet from Vance? California has had non-partisan redistricting for over 15 years.

“In November 2008, voters approved Proposition 11—the Voters FIRST Act (Act). The Act authorizes the creation of the new 14-member Citizens Redistricting Commission (commission). This commission will be responsible for drawing the district lines for the State Senate, Assembly, and State Board of Equalization. …The Voters FIRST Act for Congress (Proposition 20), approved by voters November 2010, added the responsibility of drawing Congressional districts to the Commission.”

  9. This means f all. For example, If you had even distribution of D/Rs then at 60%/40% split Democrats win every single seat. This is not gerrymandering. So the fact Republicans only win 9 seats does not prove gerrymandering at all. It’s a simplistic argument for the uneducated to use as gaslighting. Fox News doesn’t just gaslight people. Fox teaches their audience HOW to gaslight.

  10. No, I don’t believe there is such a thing as a nonpartisan committee. Districts should be created algorithimically to contain citizens in the most efficient drawing of districts possible.

  11. He’s just mad the Democrats didn’t say “thank you.”

  12. I bet that couch fucker has nothing to say when Republicans win over 50% of a state when they represent just around 40 or so.

  13. Wait until he hears about Idaho, Kansas, the Dakotas, etc. boy will he be pissed.

  14. By nonpartisan you mean all Democrat right? Republicans are habitual cheaters and liars at this point. Every deal is a backstab. Nothing is nonpartisan *to them.*

  15. No they think that Gerrymandering done in Texas is good but it’s bad in California

  16. Sounds like someone is arguing for the presidency to be decided by plurality.

  17. Repubeicans in New York are having a 💩fit because Dems are talking about redistricting.. Nick Langworthy is screaming “ILLEGAL, ILLEGAL, ILLEGAL” like some kind of deranged bird

  18. Wait until he hears about the 6 million California Republicans who are effectively disenfranchised every four years due to the Electoral College – an antiquated system that was proven to have failed according to its original intent by his boss in 2016

Keep going! You’re so close, JD!

  19. 40% of each district would mean zero seats for Republicans. But hey JD let’s compromise and ask CA to redraw its district maps to pick up 5 more democratic seats.

  20. I don’t know Vance why don’t you ask every red state this question, oh and release the Epstein files you pedo protector

  21. Republicans think they should be the only ones allowed to gerrymander

  22. He said that all while hunting down Texas dem lawmakers to force a gerrymander.

  23. Republicans benefit disproportionately from low population states with 2 senators and 1 congressperson. Dems in those places have no representation from their state on the national level. At least CA’s population is large enough that it sends some Republicans (for now).

  24. I had to look up what gerrymandering is. We have direct voting (in Chile), and now I’m grateful for it because our politicians would do the same.

  25. Wait until lil’ couchfucker sees the distribution in Wisconsin & North Carolina.

  26. It’s not gerrymandering that’s done that, it’s nonpartisan primaries.

  27. Republicans reliably have the most aggressive gerrymanders in the country, winning 75% of seats with 45% of votes in places like Wisconsin. Pretty fucking rich of Vance to be complaining how gerrymandered CALIFORNIA of all states is.

  28. Downvoting because “non-partisan committee” is a stupid idea when Shortest Splitline Algorithm exists. Just end all shenanigans and the possibility of there ever being shenanigans.

  29. Fuck them. Too many years of trying to play along with conservatives brought the country to failure. Time to take them out of the picture by whatever means gets the job done.

  30. Hmm has JD ever looked into Alabama, Georgia, and Texas gerrymandering?

  31. California is about to become 100% blue if the fascists keep it up.

  32. An easy to prevent gerrymandering is changing our house district electoral system.

  33. R’s will never embrace fetch, or a level playing ground. F’em into the dirt.

  34. I dont understand how any American can be unpartisan, when the 2 main options is pedo-ring demons who hate you or a party who isn’t that.
