Turned 18 in 08 so more recession tunes but from my memory of going clubbing, Stronger by Kanye West, Day N Nite by Kid Cudi, Destination Calabria by Alex Gaudino would be the some of the main ones around then.
Special shout-out to Explosion by Kalwi & Remi also.
Can also add Land Down Under by Men at Work with the amount of people going to Australia during the recession, it was on nearly every weekend for a good while.
