Portugal showed their teeth against mighty Spain in a preparation game

Neemias Queta scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out three assists as Portugal beat Spain 76 – 74 in the Malaga preparation tournament ahead of the 2025 EuroBasket.,

While a friendly game, it was quite the result for Portugal, ranked #22 in the latest Eurobasket Power Ranking by FIBA, against reigning champion Spain.

Travante Williams added 14 points for Portugal that erased a 44-31 halftime deficit to get the victory.

No Spain player scored in double figures. Jaime Pradilla and Alberto Diaz dropped nine points apiece.

Earlier, the Spain B team defeated Czech Republic 80 – 75 behind 17 points and nine rebounds by Baba Miller.
