  1. On Aug. 5, the Charity Commission for England and Wales announced it found no evidence of “widespread or systemic bullying, harassment, misogyny or misogynoir” at [Sentebale](https://sentebale.org/), following an investigation into claims made by the charity’s current chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka.

The Commission also found no “overreach” by either Chandauka or Prince Harry, 40, who stepped down as Sentebale’s patron in March following what he described as a breakdown in leadership.

However, the Commission criticized all sides for allowing the conflict “to play out publicly” and cited poor internal governance and a “failure to resolve disputes internally severely impacted the charity’s reputation and risked undermining public trust in charities more generally.”

  2. Harry will still never live down sending his friend to label his charity head a jealous black woman. One of the most jaw-droppingly ignorant statements I’ve heard in a long while.

  3. The way *both* sides have been talking about this (Harry’s fans and those who hate him) has been extremely icky and uncomfortable.

  4. The damage is done, and the Commission is right that all of this should have been handled quietly behind closed doors. Dr. Sophie might as well shut everything down because no one is going to want to work with Sentebale. I feel bad for the children who will no longer receive the same level of help that they are accustomed to.

  5. We need the bullying report – victims names redacted – and some discussion on his role with Africa Parks…this is a long term pattern with him and his accusations, at the least he promotes a very toxic working environment. (Source: Spare) if he’s so innocent, why did he jump ship so fast on sentebale? Oh right, to avoid any legal repercussions as a trustee. Was the investigative board afraid of retaliation by the crown?

With so much smoke and fire surrounding him, I do not understand how people are unable to see him for who he is?

    > The commission found that a serious dispute between Chandauka and Harry had followed the formulation of a new fundraising strategy in the US. The breakdown in the relationship had been raised with the commission in February but an investigation was only opened in April after an analysis.

    > Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and Prince Harry, co-founders of Sentebale.
Accusations and resignations mark remarkable 24 hours at charity founded by Prince Harry

    > The commission did not find evidence of widespread or systemic bullying or harassment, including misogyny or misogynoir, it said, but acknowledged “the strong perception of ill treatment felt by a number of parties to the dispute and the impact this may have had on them personally”.

    > It further found no evidence of “‘overreach’ by either the chair or the Duke of Sussex as patron” but the commission was “critical of the charity’s lack of clarity in delegations to the chair which allowed for misunderstandings to occur”.

    > It said: “The commission’s assessment of the various accounts that have been provided is that all the charity’s then trustees contributed to a missed opportunity to resolve issues which led to the dispute.

    > “The regulator observed that strategic and financial difficulties that had emerged for the charity following the Covid-19 pandemic contributed to the tensions that arose.”

    > The Charity Commission also said that although there was no evidence of widespread or systemic bullying or harassment, including misogyny or misogynoir [discrimination against black women], it acknowledged a “strong perception of ill treatment felt by a number of parties” and said it wasn’t its role as a regulator to adjudicate on individual claims of bullying.

    > The commission has not sanctioned any individuals, but its regulatory action plan is meant to address problems such as a lack of clarity over roles and a better mechanism for handling internal disputes.
It warned of “weaknesses in the charity’s management” that had added to disagreements.
    > The inquiry highlighted how tensions had risen around a new fundraising strategy in the United States, with some trustees believed to have raised concerns about the charity’s finances.
    > The action plan warns of the importance of “sufficient funding to enable the charity to deliver for its beneficiaries”.
    > The Charity Commission website is still showing Sentebale’s financial position from August 2023 – but sources close to the charity say it is in good financial health.

  7. It’s sad that this wonderful charity has been taken over by a sociopath. The current CEO is toxic. Hoping Harry and Seeiso can regain control and rebuild.

  8. My theory (especially based on the end of the article) is that Harry wanted her to shut down the trophy talk and she wouldn’t. Everything devolved from there.

  9. After reading some comments, I realize that a lot of people didn’t care about the youth affected by this drama, they were just hoping this was going to be some gotcha moment that was going to expose Harry. This is sad to me because this charity will probably end soon without Harry and Prince Seeiso’s support, but all people seem to care about is royal fandom nonsense.
